There must be a formal system or process in place to develop people within the organization. If it is not formal, development can too easily be forgot or ignored. There are resources available that are provided for nonprofit organizations for a variety of costs from free to expensive. Some funders are providing funding for organizational development because they realize that they must fund the total package, not just the programs, if they want services delivered effectively. Your organization needs to have a process for identifying resources and a plan for providing personal development for your employees.
